REALISM IN “THE WRECKER”

Stage realism has never reached a higher standard than it does in “The Wrecker,” now playing at His Majesty’s Theatre. One can imagine oneself in any big metropolitan railway station where expresses grind and hustle their way over the steel rails. In the most thrilling scene in the play the “Rainbow” express screams pass the windows of a signal-box and seems to make the theatre rock by the thundering realistic noise it makes. “The Wrecker” will play only for a limited season.
