GOLDMINER CELEBRATES 99TH BIRTHDAY MR. T. DUNN, THAMES (from Our Own Correspondent) THAMES. Today. Xearly a centenarian is Mr. Thomas Dunn, of Sealcy Street. Thames, who celebrated his 99th birthday on Wednesday. Mr. Dunn arrived in Auckland in the ship Dauntless in May, 1565. and came to Thames a year later before tbe district was called a goldfield. He worked in all the principal mine.= and also tributed on his own account, and was successful in winning a lot of gold. Mr. Dunn still maintains there is plenty of gold in “the old hill. Hi? wife died three years ago and he lives with his daughter, Mrs. Campbell. Two other daughters, Mesdames Hudson and W. McGregor, reside at Auckland
