NORTHCOTE RATEPAYERS ASSOCIATION
The president of the Xorthcote Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association. Mr. C. W. J. Taylor, having been elected a member of the Xorthcote Borough Council, tendered his resignation at a meeting of the association last evening. Mr. Taylor was warmly congratulated by members upon his success and his services to the association were eulogised. The election of a .successor was postponed till the annual meeting. M.r. E. C. Davy, vicepresident. consenting to act till then. Committees were appointed to revise the rules of the association and to report upon the erection of bathing facilities on the beaches; also the lighting of the playing area for evening football practice. It was also decided to ask the Borough Council to approach the Devonport Ferry Company with a view to rearranging the vehicular sexvice on Sundays from 9.30 till noon, so as to provide a half-hourly service in conjunction with the passenger boat.
