Spanhake, who topped the poll at the recent Dargaville Borough election of councillors, was appointed Deputy-Mayor on Wednesday evening. The council’s committees are; Roads, Works, Parks and Cemetery: Crs. S. L. Spanhake, F. J. Hosking;, B. V. Rope and P. J. Sundberg. Legal and Finance: Crs. D. L. Ross, F. C. Gould, A. C. Ball and F. J. HoskGasworks: Crs. Ross, Gould, Ball and Hosking. , _ Waterworks, Sanitation and Batlis: Crs. Spanhake, B. Berry, J. A. McLean and B. V. Rope. Representatives on Wairoa River Bridge Conference: The Mayor, Mr. F. A. Jones, Crs. McLean and Gould. Cemetery Site Committee Representatives: The -Mayor, Crs. Hosking and Sundberg.
