FUNERAL OF MACKAY
NEW ZEALANDER BURIED AT BERLIN SHOT DOWN IN RIOTS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. BERLIN, Wed. A large number of British residents, foreign journalists, representatives of the British Embassy, and the German Foreign Office attended Mr. C. E. Mackay’s funeral. A British chaplain officiated. Mr. Mackay was shot down by a policeman during the riots following May Day, and died on his way to hospital.
