NEARING THE END
COMMONS PASSES MONEY VOTES MILLIONS EACH MINUTE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) LONDON, Tuesday. As to-day was the last supply day of the present Parliament, outstanding votes were put from the chair in the House of Commons. Ordinarily these occupy from two to three hours, the Opposition forcing many divisions. However, this evening, in the presence of a mere handful of members, the votes, which totalled £252,000,000 were carried without discussion and without division in 45 minutes.
