TOWN CLERK RESIGNS

BIRKENHEAD OFFICIAL The resignation of Mr. Frank Finch, engineer, town clerk and treasurer of the Birkcmliead Borough Council and secretary to the Birkenhead Domain Board was tendered to the council at its meeting last evening. On being asked to reconsider his decision Mr. Finch stated that he had been contemplating the step for quite a time and his action had no connection with the new council or the Mayor. It was decided to accept the resignation with regret and to advertise for a town clerk at a salary of £350. Mr. Finch has been in the employ of the council for the past three and a-half years.
