SMALL WOMAN’S LOUD VOICE THE HUSBAND PAYS "It was just pure temper,” remarked Sub-Inspector McCarthy when Mary Rose appeared at the Police Court this morning on a charge of using obscene language. TJOSE, a domestic aged 57, pleaded guilty and the sub-inspector described her as having a particularly vile tongue. "Every time she quarrels with her husband the neighbours for 200 yards around are disturbed,” he said. “She is not a big woman, but she has a very loud voice, and this is by no means an isolated case.” In accordance with, the suggestion of the police, Rose was prohibited. She was also ordered to come up for sentence within 12 months if called upon. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., warned accused that her reappearance would mean three months’ gaol on the present charge. ...
