PASSENGERS ON ORSOVA. —The following passengers for New Zealand are travelling by the Orient liner Orsova, which is due at Sydney from London tomorrow: Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Nielson, Miss K. D. Nelson and Mr. L. H.. Gi’een, WAIPAHI AT RAROTONGA. —The Union Company’s Island steamer Waipahi is due at Rarotonga to-day, en route to Mangaia and Aitutaki. She is scheduled to return to Rarotonga on May 14 and to Auckland on May 22. BROCKABECK DEPARTS. —The tramp steamer Brockabeck sailed for Sydney yesterday in continuation of her voyage from River Plate. The vessel reached Auckland on April 15, and discharged 1,500 tons of linseed at King's Wharf. Cargo operations were completed on April 20, and afterwards the vessel was detained in port to undergo repairs to her boilers and machinery.

TOFU A FOR AUCKLAND.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the Island passenger steamer Tofua leaves Suva at noon to-morrow for Auckland, where she is due next Monday morning. CANADIAN CHALLENGER FRIDAY —The Canadian Challenger left Wellington yesterday afternoon. She is due at Auckland on Friday, and the local office of the Canadian Xational Steamships hopes to dispatch the vessel for New York, Boston and Montreal the same evening. OTOKIA LEAVES SAN PEDRO.— Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the tanker Otokia left San Pedro last Thursday for Wellington. The vessel brings fuel oil for discharge into the company's tanks at Miramar. DEVON’S ITINERARY.—The Federal Company advise that the Devon will now leave Port Chalmers on Friday to loud at Timaru, Xew Plymouth, Wanganui roadstead and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on May 20, and will sail finally from that port for London and West Coast ports of Great, Britain, via Montevideo. BENHOLM DUE TO-MORROW.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless report from the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Henhulm stating she will arrive from New York to-morrow afternoon. The vessel has case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, and will berth at the Prince’s Wharf. CAMBRIDGE TO LOAD.—The Xew Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Cambridge will commence loading at Port Chalmers, and leave there on Friday to load at Lyttelton, Xew Plymouth, Wanganui roadstead and Wellington. She is due there on May 23, and will sail from that port on May 25 for Xapier and Auckland. The Cambridge is to sail finally from Auckland on May 31 for New York, Avonmouth, Glasgow and London. KARAMEA TO LOAD.—The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advises that the Karamea arrived at Nelson at 6 a.m. on Sunday from Lyttelton to put out the remainder of her London cargo and to commence loading. The vessel will leave Nelson on Saturday for Wanganui roadstead, Lyttelton. Napier and AVellington. She is due at Wellington on May 21, and will sail finally from that Port on May 23 for Southampton, Rotterdam and London, via Panama. TAHITI’S PASSENGERS.—The Royal Mail liner Tahiti, which reached Wellington from San Francisco. Papeete. and Rarotonga on Monday, brought the folloAving passengers for Xew Zealand: First saloon—Mr. A. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY.—At 1.20 p.m. yesterday the Union Company's intercolonial passenger steamer ATarama arrived in the stream at Auckland from Sydney, and after pratique was granted berthed at the Central AVharf to land her passengers, mails, and cargo. The vessel left Sydney last Friday afternoon, and the following day encountered a moderate to fresh easterly wind and an unusually high head swell, which continued almost all the way across the Tasman Sea, and delayed the vessel by about six hours. MAUI POMARE DUE TO-MORROW— According to a radio message received by Spedding, Limited, the Government motor-ship Alaui Pomare is expected to arrive at Auckland at daylight to-mor-row from Xiue Island and Apia. Samoa, via Lyttelton and AVellington. She is to berth at the King’s Wharf, and at 5 p.m. on Saturday leaves Auckland for Xorfolk Island. SOUTHERN CROSS IS BACK.—The Melanesian Alission steamer Southern Cross returned from Xorfolk Island this morning. She arrived in the stream at 11.30 a.m. and berthed at Central AVharf after pratique had been granted. The vessel returned to Auckland with the aid of a jury rudder, which was rigged on account of the mishap to her ruddertrunk at Xorfolk Island. ROTORUA DELAYED.—The local office uf the Xew Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the liner Rotorua has been delayed at Xew Plymouth and now leaves to-morrow for Auckland, where she is due on Saturday morning to continue her loading for Home. From this port the vessel proceeds to Tokomaru Bay thence Gisborne, Lyttelton and AVellington to till up. She is scheduled to sail finally from AVellington on Alay. 25 for Southampton and London. via Panama. SUSSEX LEAVING SOURABAYA.— Cable advice has been received by the local office of the Union Conipanv that the chartered steamer Sussex 'leaves Sourabaya to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Alay 25. The Sussex is en route from Calcutta, via Rangoon, Penang, Sourabaya, Samarang and Singapore; but, after leaving the latter port ! on April 26, returned to Singapore on fire. Her damaged cargo was landed at Samarang and the vessel then proceeded to Sourabaya to have repairs effected. WAIRUNA FROM PACIFIC COAST Last evening the Union Companv's trans-Pacific cargo steamer AVairuna ar™ved in tho stream at Auckland from Pacific Coast ports. This morning she was berthed at the Prince’s AVharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding at noon to-morrow for Xapier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth to complete discharge The vessel loaded at Powell River. Ocean Falls, A ancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and cleared the latter port on Friday evening, April 12. Good weather was experienced until the vessel neared the New Zealand coast, when sh** encountered south-easterly winds and head seas, which delayed lmr slightly. Captain J. Taylor. -™ DAGHESTAN p BOM SINGAPORE.— The tanker Daghestan arrived at Auckland this morning from Singapore and berthed at the Western AVharf to uni..ad the local portion of her motor spirit into the Shell Company’s tanks at Firemans Bay. The tanker left Singapore on April 16 and experienced fair weather until Alay 4 when she ran into moderate to fresh easterly winds with an exceptionally high head which delayed her arrival by a day. The tanker shipped large quantities of water, but no damage was done to the vessel The Daghestan will leave Auckland at‘noon °h Saturday for Lyttelton, where she will discharge the remainder of her motor spirit, thence she proceeds to San I edro for loading. En route from Singapore this trip the Daghestan stopped at Thursday Island where an apprentice was put ashore to be operated on for appendicitis. Captain W.
