S.M.. in the Police Court today, when Frederick George Turner, butcher, Frankton. pleaded guilty to j driving a car while intoxicated. Sergeant Mathieson said the defendant crashed into a cax in Victoria Street driven by T. Campbell. A plan : showed that defendant was well on the wrong side. He was a first offender. Mr. J. F. Strang, for accused, said his client was overtaking two vehicles and failed to notice Campbell. He had two long beers just before the accident. The magistrate reprimanded accused for attempting to pass two cars already abreast. He fined Turner J2lO and suspended his licence for six months.
