Attended by Four Maids in Pompadour Pink RICHMOND—CRAIG WEDDING Rose PIXK gladioli and beautiful blue hydrangea blooms decorated St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral yesterday afternoon for the wedding of Miss Jessie Messervy Campbell Craig, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. J. Craig, of Auckland, to Lieutenant Maxwell Richmond, of the Royal Navy, eldest son of Mrs. H. A. Parkinson and the late Mr. Robert Richmond, of Wellington.

Tiny floral j posies at the ends of the pews marked the seats for the guests. Archbishop AA*erill, assisted by the Rev. G. R. Robson, chaplain of the Royal Navy, performed the marriage service. Entering the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. James C. Craig, the bride Avas exquisitely go\A*ned in the most picturesque of period frocks. Fashioned of silver milan lace mounted on pompadour pink marquisette, the slender corsage was unrelieved. The scalloped hemline of the long bouffant skirt was defined Avith frilled marquisette, and a sash of silA'er lame, embroidered Avith rhinestones, finished in a soft boAV at the waist. A train of the pink marquisette and silver lace fell from the shoulders of the frock. A filet of orange blossom fastened the veil of rare old lace, which was Yvorn over the face. The bride carried a shower bouquet of Avhite flowers and palest pink Avater hyacinths. Miss Gwen Fullerton and Miss Joan Craig were the attendant maids. They. Avere similarly frocked in pompadour pink georgette Avorn over cloth of silver. Their ankle-length skirts were deeply scalloped and an insertion of fine silver lace distinguished the bodices of their frocks. Each maid Avore a becoming picture hat of rose soft felt and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Little Valerie Craig and Toni Kinder, nieces of the bride, made two charming train bearers. They wore the sweetest little frocks of cameo pink taffeta with frilly skirts and puff slee\'es. Their headdresses A\ r ere of tiny pink and blue flowers. Lieutenant W. A. Dallmayer attended the bridegroom as best man and SubLieutenant V. Tligav was groomsman. Lieutenant-Commander Hunter-Blair, Surgeon-Lieutenant Quinn, Mr. Keith Buchanan, Mr. George Tole and Mr. Calvert Richmond acted as ushers. On leaving the church the bridal couple passed under an archway of draAvn sAvords, and the bridal car'was drawn by 24 bluejackets to “Omana,” Mountain Road, the home of the bride’s mother. Bowls of pink chrysanthemums Avere arranged in the dining-room, and in the draAVing-room,' AA'here Mrs.. Craig received the guests, masses of autumn - tinted floAvers made effective decoration. Mrs. Craig was gOAvned in black, ring velvet spotted in French grey and cerise. Her smart black hat of felt and velvet was trimmed with a buckle
of brilliants. ■Sirs. Parkinson wore ravens wins blue ring: velvet with large navy hat. Mrs. Kinder wore a plantation brown georgette ensemble with brown furs and hat to tone: Miss Richmond, black georgette relieved with gold, and black liat; Mrs. McGuigan, cigar brown ring velvet ancl hat to tone; Mrs. W. A. Phillips, honey beige georgette and beige hat; Mrs. James Craig, black crepe do chine ensemble, and marine blue felt hat. Among the invited guests were: Mr. and Mrs. A. Kinder, Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
