CITY ORGAN RECITALS

Yesterday afternoon the city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, gave an organ recital in the Town Hall for school children. The programme included Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in B Flat, Gavotte from “Otho” (Handel), ‘Funeral March of a Marionette’* (Gounod). Minuet (Paderewski), Fantasia on National Airs (Maughan Barnett) and “In the Hall of the Mountain King” (Grieg). Mr. Barnett was assisted in the programme by Miss Ina Bosworth (violinist). Mr. Barry Coney (baritone», and Mr. Leo Whittaker (accompanist'. The recital is to be repeated this afternoon and to-morrow afternoon.
