WELL-KNOWN INDUSTRIALIST The news of the death of Mr. Benjamin Buttle, for many years an enthusiastic and active member of the Auckland Manufacturers’ Association, was received with regret by members of the committee yesterday. The association placed on record its high .appreciation of the valuable services rendered by the late Mr. Buttle, who became a committeeman in 1906, occupied the office of president in 1910 and 1911, and since 1912 has been vicepresident. Mr. Buttle took a keen interest in all industrial matters and was associated with the Industrial Exhibition in 1908, with the Auckland Exhibition of 1913 and 1914 and at the time of his death was treasurer of the Auckland Winter Exhibition. A motion of condolence with the bereaved relatives was carried in silence.
