LABOUR MAJORITY IS EXPECTED POLL NEXT SATURDAY BRISBANE, Sunday. For the General Election next Saturday, 143 candidates have been nominated for 68 seats, while two Labour and two Nationalists have been returned unopposed. The Labour Party had 44 members and the Opposition 2S in the last Parliament. It is anticipated that Mr W. McCormack's Labour Government will be returned with a reduced majority.
