ST. JAMES
GEORGE WALLACE’S REVUE Attracted by the fine variety of comedy, dance and music of George Wallace’s Revue Company, another large audience attended the St. James Theatre on Saturday evening. George Wallace, undoubtedly the life and soul of the company, with his clever wit and humour, was at his best as a cook dressed in women’s clothes, and the show goes with a swing. Many new jokes were introduced into the sketch, “Peaceful Dreams,’’ a comedy of burglars. The conversation of a married couple thoroughly delightd the audience early in the evening. Very enjoyable music is provided by George 'Wallace and his Flaming Youths Jazz Band. The dancing of the Rascals Ballet, and the singing of Marshall Crosby, Marie Nyman, Maida Jones and others, and the items by the Two Dudleys, and Jack Scott all contribute to the success of the entertainment. The second part of the evening is devoted to a revue, entitled “Nle and My Girl,” a comedy set in the gay surroundings of a college for boys and girsl where discipline is lax. The imitable George is the cook of the ininstitution. and goes through some amusing and exciting events before the end.
