MAPS OF NEW ZEALAND
ISSUE BY RAILWAY DEPARTMENT Two very fine maps, one of the North Island and one of the iaouth, have been issued by the Railway Department. The maps are in colour, and indicate the contours and other characteristics of New Zealand in relation to fhe State railways. They were designed with the object indicating as clearly as possible the railway service which the department has available for supplying the transport requirements of the people. Already educationalists to whom the maps have been submitted have expressed high regard for their value as an aid toward making New Zealand better .known to its own people. In a covering letter, Mr. H. H. Sterling. general manager of the New Zealand railways, says that it is intended in give the maps widespread circulation as an aid in bringing still larger numbers of tourists to the Dominion.
