TRANSPORT FINANCES

MESSRS. MURRAY AND LUNDON CALL PUBLIC MEETING

Mr. W. TT. Murray and Mr. J. R. Lundon have convened a meeting of citizens, to be held in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Monday evening, for the purpose of criticising the Auckland Transport Board’s loan proposals, to be submitted to ratepayers on Wednesday. The speakers will discuss, among other matters, their advocacy of the amendment of the Transport Board Act. The financial policy of the board will be attacked, and particular emphasis will be laid on recent salary increases for employees of the board.
