MARAMA LEAVES SYDNEY.— The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the intercolonial passenger steamer Marama left Sydney at three o’clock yesterday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning. She is to berth at the Central "Wharf.

PORT DARWIN TO COMPLETE. Leaving "Wellington this morning, the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Darwin completes loading at Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due here on May 12, and is expected to clear here two days later for New York, Boston, Halifax and London, via Panama. Heather, Roberton, Ltd., will act as the local agents.

MATAKANA REPORTS. —According to a radio message received by A. S. Paterson and Co., the Shaw, SavilL and Albion Company’s steamer Matakana is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 5 p.m. on Monday from Liverpool. The vessel is bringing general cargo from West of England ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She berths at the Queen's Wharf. New Plymouth, and Wanganui. MARGARET W. SOLD.— The fourmasted auxiliary vessel Margaret W. has been sold by Captain A. F. Wachlin to the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Company. She is to be used in the GisborneAuckland cargo service in place of the Elsie Mary, which foundered in the Bay of Plenty last March. The company's steamer Tiroa will transfer into the Auckland-Hicks Ray Tologa Bay Tokomaru Bay service. The Margaret W. will be commissioned in her new service on Monday.

THE SCHOONER HUIA.— The Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia is loading timber for Brisbane at Central Wharf. She is to sail at 8 o’clock on Monday morning. POOLTA FOR FRAFTON. —The Union Company’s steamer Poolta, which has been undergoing overhaul and survey at this port, leaves Auckland early this afternoon for Grafton. THE MANUKA. —From Melbourne, via Southern, ports, the Manuka arrived at Wellington yesterday morning, and is scheduled to leave again at 1 p.m. today for Melbourne direct. MATAROA AT PANAMA. —En route from Wellington to London, the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa is reported to have reached Panama last Wednesday. She sailed from Wellington on April 13. HORORATA AT LONDON. —A cable message to the New Zealand Shipping Company reports that the Hororata arrived at London on Wednesday from Auckland. She sailed from Auckland on March 21. BASIC SLAG FROM ANTWERP —The; New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that the King Gruffoyd is to leave Antwerp on Tuesday with a cargo of basic slag to discharge at Auckland and New Plymouth. TAINUI FOR HOME.— Now filling up Wellington, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the liner Tainui leaves there at 6 a.m. on Thursday next, May 9, for Southampton and London, via Panama. TAHITI DUE MONDAY. —The Union Company reports that the Tahiti, from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, is due at Wellington at 6 a.m. on Monday. She will leave again the following afternoon for Sydney. BARON BELHAVEN FOR WELLINGTON.—Now discharging basic slag at the King’s Wharf under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the steamer Baron Belhaven is expected to leave Auckland next- Saturday for Wellington, where she completes discharge. CHALLENGER AT WELLINGTON. —Leaving Wellington on Monday for Auckland, the Canadian Challenger is due here on Thursday to complete her loading for New York, Boston and Montreal. Tt is hoped to dispatch the vessel the same day for America. THE NORTHUMBERLAND Advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Federal Line steamer Northumberland, which is to leave Liverpool on June S, will discharge at New Plymouth as well as Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. RUAHINE LEAVES CURACAO.— Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company by the liner Ruahine left Curacao last Tuesday for Southampton and London, in continuation of her voyage from Wellington. The vessel left Wellington on April 4. THE PORT AUCKLAND.— The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Auckland is reported to have cleared Panama last Wednesday, en route from New York to Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is scheduled to reach Auckland on May 2ft. Heather, Roberton, Ltd., are the local agents. GOLDEN CROSS SAILS —The Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company’s steamer Golden Cross sailed for Wellington, Nelson and Lyttelton yesterday afternoon to complete unloading cargo from Pacific Coast ports and also to load for her Homeward voyage. The vessel is scheduled to return to Auckland on May 20 to complete loading refrigerated cargo, and she is to be dispatched for Honolulu and San Francisco the same day. THE GOLDEN STATE —Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., have received advice that the Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company’s steamer Golden State was dispatched from Los Angeles last Wednesday with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Timaru and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on May 27. The vessel is not fitted with refrigerating accommodation like the Golden Cross, but the vessels following the Golden State are all having refrigerators installed.

TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICES. —The Waikawa will leave San Francisco to-morrow and Los Angeles on Mav 9 for Apia, Melbourne, and Sydney, and is due at Apia on May 26. The Waitemata left Levuka on April 24 for Vancouver, where she is due on May 15. The Waihemo will leave Apia to-day for Vancouver, where 'she is due on May The Hauraki, which will leave Auckland to-day, is due at Wellington on Monday and will go thence to Melbourne and Adelaide, and return to Vancouver direct from Adelaide. The Waiotapu. which will leave Wellington to-day, is due at Lyttelton on May 5, and will go thence to Melbourne and Sydney, and return to Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna. from Pacific Coast ports, is due at Auckland on May 7, and will go thence to Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. Approximate loading dates at Pacific Coast ports are as follow:* The Waitemata will load during May and June for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She is to clear Los Angeles on June 9, and is due at Auckland on July 4. The Waihemo will load during May and June for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. She is to clear Los Angeles on June 15, and is due at Napier on July 10. The Hauraki will load for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney during June and July. She is to clear Los Angeles on July 14, and is dut at Auckland on August 3.

She leaves again on Monday evening for New Plymouth, thence Wanganui roadstead. Lyttelton, and Wellington to fill up. wd is scheduled to sail finally from the latter port on May 23 for London, via Montevideo. AORANGI DUE MONDAY. — Due at Auckland early on Monday morning from Sydney, the Union Company’s K.M.M.S. Aorangi will berth at the Princes Wharf about 5.30 a.m. to land passengers and mails from Australia, and to load cargo and mails, and to embark passengers for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria, and Vancouver.
