JACKIE AUDUBON FATALLY INJURED
KILLED AT ADDINGTON (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. At Addington this morning Glideaway, Dalmeny, Young Blake and Jackie Audubon worked in company over two miles and were responsible for a pleasing performance. However, when being cooled out Jackie Audubon took fright and broke away from his attendant. He careered down Wright’s Road and went to cross Lincoln Road, but ran into a stationary tramway water-cart, and receiving fatal injuries to his head, died immediately. The loss is most unfortunate for his owners, Mrs. Cullen and Mr. J. W. Murphy, as the son of Great Audubon and Lady Moth was in great fettle, and was expected to race prominently at Forbury Park next Thursday.
