STATUE OF EARL HAIG

TO BE ERECTED BY FRENCH AT MONTREUIL

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. PARIS, Friday. The Prime Minister, M. Raymond Poincare, has given support to a proposal to erect a statue to the late Field-Marshal Haig at Montreuil. Subscriptions have been opened and a sculptor has been commissioned. It will probably be unveiled in 1930 at a big Anglo-French demonstration.
