THRASHED BY CONSTABLE
HANDCUFFED ABORIGINAL PRISONERS MURDER CHARGE FAILS Reed. 10.45 a.m.’ DARWIN, To-day. The story of an extraordinary and brutal assault on handcuffed aboriginal prisoners by a constable was revealed in court. Tommy Moyle. an aboriginal, charged with the murder of a native woman, revealed that the constable, upon getting his three handcuffed prisoners to the police station, gave them a thrashing with a waddy. The constable then questioned them about the tragedy. The Crown Prosecutor immediately withdrew the case for the Crown, and the jury returned a verdict of not guilty without leaving the box.
