HOLIDAY FOR MAYOR
MR. WILLIAMSON TO VISIT AUSTRALIA On Friday week next Mr. J. W. Williamson, Mayor of Takapuna, together with his wife, will leave Auckland for a six-weeks’ holiday in Australia. Mr. Williamson stated last evening that the new council will be installed next Wednesday night, when he will apply for the necessary leave of absence Following the usual custom of appointing the candidate who heads the poll for the council, Mr. j. W. Hayden will probably be elected deputy-Mayor and will officiate during Mr. Williamson's absence.
