MG INCREASE IN RETURNS FIGURES FOR APRIL Further testimony to the growing productivity of the Auckland Province is provided in the returns of butter-fat produced during the month of April. Returns supplied by the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company show that 138,069 boxes of butter and 13,576 crates of cheese were delivered at the Farmers’ grade stores during April, compared with 119,644 boxes of butter and 11,307 crates of cheese during the corresponding period of last year. Butter delivered into store since July 1, 1928, up to the end of April amounted to 2,035,385 boxes, compared with 1,783,660 boxes during the corresponding period of the 1927-28 season: the returns for cheese show an even greater proportionate advance, 172.768 cri.tes being handled to date this efion, compared with 142,961 crates I season. ..ith two months of the season to •v, returns to date are now well ahead of the aggregate returns for the whole of the 1927-28 season.
