Three Changes
HARBOUR BOARD MEMBERS
THOUGH all city members have retained their seats, there are three changes on the Auckland Harbour Board. Seven sitting members contested their seats and six have been returned, the only rejected man being Mr. -T. Hislop. North Shore, who was substantially defeated by Mr. A. E Greenslade.
tpHE four Auckland City members | secured substantial majorities j w-hile the retiring chairman, Mr. H. R. Mackenzie, and the vicechairman, Mr. M. IT. Wynyard had easy wins. Two changes in the board's personnel have been brought about by the death of Mr. G. Parr (XX'aikato) and the nomination of Mr. E. Aldridge to j replace the Hon. E. W. Alison. The new board is made up as j follows: —*G. R. Hutchinson, *T.; Bloodw-orth, *E. XX r . Inder, •J. B. John-; stou (Auckland City), *H. R. Mackenzie (Manukau and Franklin), *M. H. XX r ynyard (Eastern Suburbs), A. E. Greenslade (North Shore Boroughs), n. T. Reid (Hamilton, etc.), *T. B. Clay (Mouut Edeu and Mount Albert), Johnstone (Raglan, Waikato and XVaipa Counties), *A. M. Laing (Waitemata County and Mount Roskill), *XV. F. McCallum and *C. G. Macindoe (payers of dues on ships), •F. A. Hellaby (payers of dues on goods), E. Aldridge (Government nominee). Hislop 2,120 Some small returns from Takapuna were not available last evening. The voting at Devonport was: Hislop, 1,343; Greenslade, 861.
