Irwin, who is at pi esent in hospital at Christchurch, is reported to be progressing favourably. TO LOAD AT NEW PLY MOUTH.—The N.Z. Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Cambridge will load at Now Plymouth about May 12 for New York, Avon mouth. Glasgow and Liverpool. PHORUS WITH OlL—Advice has been received by the Shell Oil Company that the tanker Phorus is en route from Singapore to Auckland with a cargo .01 oil for discharge at this port. She is due here about Monday week. TAIROA CLEARED HALIFAX.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa, •which left Wellington for New York, Boston, Halifax and London on March 3, is reported to have cleared Halifax last Monday. PAKEHA REPORTED.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha is reported to have cleared Teneriffe last Monday in continuation of her voyage from New Zealand to London. She sailed from Wellington on March 23. RUAHINE LEAVES COLON.—A cable message to the New Zealand Shipping Company reports that its liner Ruahine arrived "at Panama last Thursday from Wellington, and left Colon on Friday and Curacao on Tuesday for Southampton and London. The vessel sailed from Wellington on April 4. THE PORT AUCKLAND. —The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Auckland is reported to have reached Color* last Monday, en route from New York to Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lvttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on May 20. Heather, Roberton, Limited, are the local agents. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. — The Canadian Challenger, which is due back at Wellington on Saturday from Dunedin, to load for New York. Boston and Montreal, will now leave there on Monday for Auckland, to fill up. The vessel’s departure from Auckland lias been altered to May 9. REMUERA AT COLON.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cablegram that its liner Remuera, en route from London and Southampton, left Curacoa on Friday, and arrived at Colon on Sunday, bound for Wellington. Napier and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on May 17. THE BARON MAC LAY.—The steamer Baron Mat-lay reached Colon last Monday en route from Galveston, Texas, to Auckland. The vessel has a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland and Australia. She is due at Auckland about May 25. Messrs. R. Millar and Company are the local agents. THE SCHOONER HUIA.—The Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia, which ha* completed her overhaul, berthed at Prince’s Wharf yesterday morning to load timber for Brisbane. She is expected to sail about Monday. After discharge at Brisbane she will proceed to Melbourne to load explosives for Queensland ports. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE.— The Waikawa, from British Columbia ports, will leave San Francisco on May 5 and Los Angeles on May 9 for Apia, Melbourne and Sydney, and is due at Apia on May 26. The Waitemata left Levuka on April 24 for Vancouver, where she is due on May 35. and will proceed thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Wainemo left Suva on Tuesday for Apia, where she is due to-day. She will proceed thence on May 4 to Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Bluff. She is due at Vancouver on May 23. The Hauraki, from Pacific Coast ports, arrived at Auckland on Tuesday night and will proceed thence on Saturday to Wellington, Melbourne and Adelaide, and return to Vancouver direct from Adelaide. The Wairuna, which left Los Angeles on April 12, is due at Auckland on May 7. going thence to Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth.
WAIPAHI SAILING—At three o’clock this afternoon the Union Company s Island fruit steamer Waipahi leaves Auckland for Rarotonga, Mangaia and Aitutaki to load fruit for this port. POOLTA SAILS SATURDAY—Now undergoing her overhaul and survey. at Auckland, the local office of the Union Company advises that it is hoped to dispatch the steamer Poolta from here at. noon on Saturday for Grafton. BRUNSWICK COMING—The Atlantic Union Oil Company advises that the tanker Brunswick is expected to arrive at Auckland about June 1 from San Pedro with a cargo of bulk oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. MARGARET W. IN PORT—The auxiliary schooner Margaret W. arrived at Auckland last evening from Australia, via Gisborne, and berthed at the longs Wharf. This afternoon she swings at the dolphin to adjust her compass, thence she goes to the Albert Wharf. NIAGARA LEAVES VANCOUVER— Cable advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the R.M.S. Niagara sailed from Vancouver at noon yesterday, via \ lctoria, Honolulu and Suva, for Auckland and Sydney. She is due here on May 20 and at Sydney on May 26. KAIKORAI REPORTS—According to a radio message received by the local office of the Union Company, the collier Kaikorai is expected to arrive in stream at Auckland at 2 a.m. to-morrow from Melbourne via Tort Kembla. She later berths at the King's Wharf, and, after discharge, proceeds to Wesport for loading. WAIRUNA RADIOS—The local office of the Union Company has been advised by radio that the traps-Pacific cargo steamer Wairuna is expected to arrive at Auckland at 4 p.m. next Tuesday from the Pacific Coast portß. After discharge, here the vessel later proceeds to Napier, thence Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth to complete. CORINTHIC LEAVES HOME.—Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that its liner Corinthic, after loading at London, left Southampton last Friday afternoon for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due at Wellington on June 3 and at Auckland a week later. L. D. Nathan and Co. will act as the local agents. ULIMAROA AT WELLINGTON. — After being delayed on the trip by stormy weather the Huddart Parker steamer L'limaroa reached Wellington from Sydney at 12.45 p.m. yesterday. Passengers and mail will reach Auckland by train this morning. The vessel is to sail on her return trip to Sydney to-mor-MAIMOA LEAVES LIVERPOOL.—A cable message to the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company reports that the Maimoa left Liverpool on Saturday afternoon with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on June 4, and A. S. Paterson and Company will act as the local agents. « MATA KAN A DUE SHORTLY—Scheduled to arrive from Liverpool on Saturday, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana has not reported by wireless vet. She is bringing general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd., are the local agents.
WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE— The following vessels are expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night:— Auckland: Tutanekai, Kaikorai, Canadian Britisher, Tregenna, Matakana, Wairuna Tregonnal, City of Adelaide, Waipahi, Port Campbell, Aovangi. Chatham Islands: Rnranga. Wellington: Maori, Wahine, Tamaliine, Arahura, Ngaio, Manuka, Paua, Timaru, Niagara, Norfolk. » Awarua: Tahiti, Makura, Karetu, Devon, Huntingdon, Canadian Challenger, Kalingo. PORT OF ONEHUNGA— The Rarawa, sailing at three o’clock this afternoon for New Plymouth, returns to Onehunga at 7.30 p.m. on Saturda y. The Toa /eaves Auckland early this afternoon for Hokianga and Onehunga. and is due at the latter port on Monday. The Arapawa, due at Onehunga on Saturday morning from Waikato Heads, Kawhia and Raglan, sails at noon the same day for Opunake and Wanganui. The Hokianga i expected to leave Onehunga to-day for Hokianga, and is due back on Sunday. The Titoki is due at Onehunga shortly after three o’clock this afternoon from Dargaville. She loads there and sails to-morrow for Nelson and West Coast ports.
