RACEHORSE INJURED

LADY SPECIALIST SHOT IN LEGS (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. Tho valuable racing mare, Lady Specialist, owned by Mr. A. C. Blackmore, of River Road, Rototuna, was shot through both hind legs some time this week. The mare was in a paddock by herself, and had not been visited for a couple of days. Two youths who were seen entering the property with a pea rifle on Sunday are believed to be responsible. It is doubtful if the mare will be saved.
