“TAKE ME HOME” AT ROYAL
Bebe Daniels. In her latest Paramount picture. “Take Me Home,” now at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, spent many weary hours practising the various routines of dancing movements which ‘‘every chorus girl knows," during the filming of that picture. Miss Daniels portrays the role of Peggy Lane,, a chorus girl, in her new picture. Backstage life in a big theatre is authentically transplanted to the screen. Xeil Hamilton has the leading man’s role, and portrays a youth who went to Broadway to get on the stage and is helped in overcoming many obstacles by Miss Daniels. Lilyan Tashman, Doris Hill and Joe Brown have the chief supporting roles. Ricardo Cortez is the star of “New York," the second attraction. With the added attraction of every effective sound synchronisation, “Love Never Dies," Colleen Moore's great aviation film, is to be presented shortly to New Zealanders. Much has been written of the amazing aerial sequences of this great production, and splendid work of the principals, Colleen Moore and Cary Cooper.
