UNION RUGBY
TRANSFERS APPROVED EXECUTIVE BUSINESS The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union met last evening, Mr. 11. Frost presiding. It was decided to allow the Kingsland Club to play in the senior B grade competition. The Trinity Club applied for affiliation through the Grafton Club. The application was granted, the colours of the club to be royal blue jersey with gold band. The New Zealand Rugby Union forwarded particulars regarding the trial match to be played at AVeilington on June 3. The letter was ieferred to Mr. V. R. Meredith, Auckland selector. It was decided to recommend the following players for reinstatement to the New Zealand Rugby Union: A. C. Aspden, G. H. Kaka, A. A. Pulman, H. G. Robertson, R. Philp, J. AV. Davis and R. AV. AVheeler. The following transfers were ap- i proved: AV. Larsen, Marist to CollegeRifles; L. Moore, Marist to Grafton. The Hawke’s Bay Union wrote protesting against the New Zealand Union’s decision to play a trial match on June 3 on account of such fixture' interfering with set representative games on that date. it was decided that the union was in sympathy with the Hawke’s Bay protest It was also decided to advise the Hawke’s Bay Union that unless the New Zealand Union could put forward a sound reason for the early tour to New South Wales this season, the Auckland Union would support the Canterbury Union's motion that the tour be postponed for one month.
