MOTORIST FOR TRIAL
SEQUEL TO FATAL SMASH Pt ess Association ASHBURTON, To-day. At the Ashburton Police Court today, Robert McKay, a farmer, of Longbeach, was charged with having negligently driven a motor-car so as to ‘cause the death of Francis Godwin. The case is a sequel to a fatality on March 31 in East Street, when the car collided with Mr. Godwin’s gig. McKay was committed for trial, bail being allowed on own recognisance.
