Bloodworth. Speaking at St. Benedict’s Hall last evening, he said that if Mr. Murray’s campaign was carried on long enough j it would destroy all the principles of I democratic government in the Dominion. Mr. Bloodworth quoted from the leading article of an Auckland newspaper: “They (ratepayers) must ask themselves whether they are satisfied with the preesnt regime. If they are not, their choice is between Mr. Vaile and Mr. Bloodworth, and if they are not prepared to take the risk involved in electing a Labour Mayor they should vote for Mr. Vaile. In reply to that he asked the electors | to consider the risk of electing any of j the other three candidates. Mr. Bail- ! don, on the one hand, who had proved j himself to be incapable, and Mr. Vaile, 1 on the other hand, who had had little j experience of public body finance.
