SINKING OF I’M ALONE

CANADA AND U.S. ARBITRATE (Australian and N.Z. Press Associatioji) (United Service) OTTAWA, Friday. The Governments of Canada and the United States have agreed to arbitrate in the dispute over the sinking of the Canadian schooner I’m Alone by American coastguards. This was learned when correspondence between the two Governments was tabled in the Canadian House of Commons on Thursday evening. The case will be submitted to two arbiters, one to be selected by each Government. Under the terms of the liquor smuggling treaty between the United States and Britain, they will decide whether Canada is entitled to redress.
