Did You Know That —
Plash, the M.-G.-M. dog actor, has been blessed with four sons and three daughters. * * * Richard Dix, back from filming "Redskin,” a story of modern Indian life in New Mexico, has been sent to Paramount’s Long Island studio at Astoria to make his first talking film. Not yet titled, the new “talker” will be directed by Victor Schertzinger. } * Ranger, the dog star, was giver a difficult stunt in the filming of a recent picture. The action called for a fight between Ranger and a lumberjack on a cable car, suspended over a canyon some 2,000 ft deep. The dizzy height made no impression on Ranger, who carried on the “fight” with all the realism at his command. * * * Complete audible picture house shows, called “sound unit shows,” are the latest inspiration of the Pathe studios. Comprising a feature, a Pathe talking news, Aesop fable or Grantland Rice Sportlight and a tworeel comedy, the “unit shows” will travel complete, to be delivered to the theatre in one can, making up a rounded programme of sound features.
