WIN FOR TAIHAPE Press Association WANGANUI, Friday. The final of the C.A.C. Shooting Team Challenge Cup concluded this morning, under the auspices of the Wanganui Gun Club, the winner being the Taihape team. Individual scores were: 11. Quartermain, 20; H. Belk. 19: J. Duncan, 19; R. Anderson, 18; G. Belk, IS; J. Ormond, 16; J. Whittall, IS. Total, 128. Stratford Team. —A. Nelson, 20; S. Casey, 17; J. Hegarty, 18; J. Petrie, IS; A. E. Brown, 17; A. Coleman, 19; B. Green, 17. Total, 126. Palmerston North Team. —P. Meehan. 16; A. Thompson, 19; H. Best, 14; C. EBiwn, 16; Peter Meehan, 17; K. Thompson. 14; C. Rose, 18. Total. 114 First Open Handicap, sweepstake, 12 birds.—R. Anderson (Taihape) and J. McMullan (Taupo) divided the first and second prizes. Second Open Handicap, sweepstake, 12 birds.—F. Casey (Stratford). Eight others divided the second prize. Six-bird Sweepstake, off 1 Syds.—J. Dunlop (Wanganui) and A. Coleman (Stratford) divided the prize-money.
