MIDNIGHT COLLISION
MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED CRASHED INTO HORSE As a result of running into a horse about two o'clock yesterday morning Frank E. Waller, a motorcyclist, received such severe head injuries that he died within a few minutes. Mr. Waller, who was a single man, aged 22, was riding along the Great South Road toward Manurewa, and the accident occurred near Wiri. A motorist, who passed shortly afterwards, called Dr. J. S. Currie, but when the doctor arrived Waller was dead. He lived in Brown Street, Manurewa, and was employed by Murray and White, a local firm of grocers. The horse had three legs broken and had to be shot.
