BROKEN ROPE DELAYS BRIGADE (From Our Oxen Correspondent) MATAMATA, To-day. A four-roomed dwelling in Tainui Street, Matamata. was gutted by fire at 2 p.m. yesterday. The house was owned by Mr. T. Davis, formerly of Matamata. but now of Auckland,'and was occupied by Mr. W. Stewart. T* lo brigade was delayed owing to tno rep© of the flrebcll breaking. (
