BAYFIELD CLUB The half-yearly meeting of the Bayfield Old Scholars’ Lawn Tennis Club was held on Wednesday evening, the president, Mr. D. Mclnnes, headmaster of the Bayfield School, presiding over a good attendance. The secretary, in his report, stated £l3O in renovations to the courts and buildings had been expended during the past season. The membership for the summer season was S 3. The Ponsonby Schools’ Committee had retarred tfie five courts. The treasurer’s report showed the finances of the club to be very satisfactory. The retiring committee donated a silver cup for an annual competition for combined double handicaps. The cup was presented by Mr. Mclnnes to the winners, Miss B. llemus and H. J. Addis. The following oilicers were elected for the winter season: President, Mr. D. Mclnnes; lion, auditor, Mr. W. T. Brown; lion, secretary, Mr. J. C. Black: lion, treasurer, Mr. L. Lucena; club captain, Mr. H. J. Addis; committee, Misses F. Smytheman, F. Kitchener, M. Green, G. Jones, Messrs. E. J. Searle. J. G. Hamilton. W. J. Moir, A. J. Martin.
