COMMISSION SITTINGS CONTINUE The commission to inquire and report on the petition that has been made by Mount Roskill residents to have the control of the district vested in a borough council instead of a road board as at present, continues its sittings this afternoon. rpHE commissioners are Mr. E. C. “ L Cutten, S.M., Mr. O. N. Campbell, Commissioner of Crown Lands, and Mr. C. W. Shilcott, district valuer. Mr. V. R. Meredith is appearing for the Mount Roskill Road Board and Mr. G. P. Finlay for the South Roskill Ratepayers’ Association. Other questions for the consideration of the commission are whether the district is suitable for municipal control and whether any alteration to boundaries are necessary or advisable. Witnesses are being called by Mr. for the Road Board.
