Wilson has been elected a delegate to represent the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Kailway officers’ Institute. Mr. and Mrs. C. Pirie, of Wellington, Mr. and Mrs. A. Hazelton, of Wellington, are visiting Auckland and are staying at the Star Hotel. Dr. and Mrs. Craig, of Morrinsville, Mr. and Mrs. M. Nichol, of Te Aroha, and Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Davidson, of Dargaville, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. I*. W. Roberton, the new locomotive engineer for the North Island Railways, has arrived in Auckland and took up his new duties this morning. Messrs. G. C. Creagh, H. G. Gillespie. and H. L. Noakes, returned on the Limited yesterday from a brief business visit to Wellington. Da and Mrs. A. Joseph, of Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. L. Rossiter, of W ellington, and Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Millar, of Wellington, are staying at the Grand. Captain and Mrs. G. L. Findlay, of Chrißtchurch, and Captain K. W. Hall, of Hororata, left by airplane yesterday for Feilding on their way to the South Island. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, attended the Feilding Snow to-day and left later for Wellington. He will return to Auckland next week. Dr. R. H. Bettington, the Australian cricketer, and Mrs. Bettington, who were married recently, Arrived from the South this morning and left later for Sydney by the Maunganui. The Rev. Morgan Richards, minister in charge of the Presbyterian Church at Takapuna, who has been ill for several weeks, was yesterday taken to a private hospital in the city. The Minister of Mines, Hon. W. A. Veitch, will arrive at Huntly on Monday morning, and will receive deputations. He will pay his first official visit to the coal mines, and will be the suest of the town board at dinner in the evening. Mr. Arthur Cherry, late organist of the Hinehead Congregational Church, England, has accepted the post of organist at the Beresford Street Congregational Church in succession to Mr. J. Dodd, who resigned recently. Mr. Cherry has already taken up his new duties. The Hon. D. H. Drummond, Minister of Education for New South Wales, spent this morning on the Auckland Harbour in company with Mr. M. H. ''ynyard, deputy-chairman of the Harbour Board, and Mr. Ardell, sectary for the Department of Internal Affairs. Mr. Drummond had expressed a wish to see the harbour before returning to Australia. Mrs. Drummond also made the trip. Mr. Arthur G.
