A popular way to decorate a bathroom is to cover the walls with papier madia made to imitate small tiles. This is afterwards enamelled and is therefore washable. The ‘t iles” are frequently decorated with two-inch wide strips of papier maclie moulded in a pretty design and enamelled in colour.
Paraffin. —Rub windows with a cloth rung out in paraffin, polish with a clean duster, and spots due to rain will very rarely be found. Oil the rusty parts of a lawn-mower with paraffin, work the machine a little, and when all the paraffin has been absorbed apply ordinary oil. A teaspoon of paraffin should oe added to a tubful of clothes ready for washing, and the same amount adde4 to each quart of boiled starch. This will prevent the irons sticking, and will give a better gloss. A soft rag dipped in paraffin quickly removes grease marks front white paint.
