MUSICAL EXAMS.

TRINITY COLLEGE APPOINTMENT MR. EGERTON LOWE Mr. C. Egerton Lowe, F.T.C.L., has been appointed examiner for the Trinity College of Music, London, for this year. He will arrive in Auckland on June 17, and will begin his examinations a week later. He will take the follow-

ing subjects: Pianoforte, organ, violin, singing, elocution, and ensemble playing. Mr. Egerton Lowe visited New Zealand last winter. He received his musical education in London and Leipzig, his principal subjects being the pianoforte and the violin. Several books have been written by Mr. Eger- j ton Lowe, and he is very well known in England as a lecturer. He lias adjudicated at all the important British' and South African musical festivals.
