BOXER LECKIE’S WIN

Reed. 9 a.m. MELBOURNE, Sunday. The fight between Johnny Leckie (New Zealand) and Wilson (United States) was wonderfully fast and clever. Leckie dominated the first six rounds. Wilson, who is unused to long contests, landed a heavy left to Leckie’s chin in the loth, which nearly ended the bout.
