SIR H. HARMSWORTH DEAD

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) LONDON, Saturday. The death has occurred of Sir Hildebrand Harmsworth, a brother of Viscount Rothermere and the late Lord Northcliffe. Sir Hildebrand was the fifth of the Harmsworth brothers. He was at Merton College, Oxford, after having some experience in journalism with his brothers. He unsuccesfully contested Gravesend as an Imperial Liberal in 1900, and Mid-Salop as a Tariff Reformer in 1906. He was sole - proprietor of “The Globe” from 1908 to 1911. He was created a baronet in 1922. He is succeeded by his son Hildebrand.
