“STOLEN PLEASURES” One of the main pictures on the ex- j cellent programme now being presented at the Everybody’s Theatre is “Stolen Pleasures.” Writen by its author as a cleverly knotted tale of coincidence and circumstance involving two married couples, and a professional “he vamp,” it has lost none of its suspense and dramatic interest by its transfer to the screen. j Not .satisfied with giving it a faith- j ful and lavish production in keeping ; with the demands of the story, the : producers also chose one of the best : casts obtainable for the leading char- | acter roles. Helene Chadwick and j Dorothy Revier play the feminine leads, while Harlan Tucker, Gayne j Whitman and Ramon Ripley handle the male roles in perfect fashion. Helene Chadwick gives one of the most scintillating and finished performances of her screen career in “Stolen Pleasures.” Dorothy Revier divides the honours evenly with Miss Chadwick as one of a pair of wives caught up in a net of circumstance and foolish jealousy. The second big picture is ‘ Tesha." an exceptionally powerful story of a beautiful danseuse and the eternal conflict, starring Maria Corda and Jameson Thomas. Fox Films promises something novel in the realm of murder mysteries with their latest all-talking feature, “Through Different Eyes.” The story unfolds for the audience through the eyes of the prosecuting attorney, the defence lawyer, and a girl of mystery. Warner Baxter and Mary Duncan have the leads. Both these players v. • - seasoned before the footlights I»*f f entering upon their careers in the silt .ic films.
