COMMUNITY SINGING

STARTS ON JUNE 5 Community singing will recommence in Auckland on Wednesday, June 5, at the Town Hall. This has been decided by the Community Singing Committee at the annual meeting held recently when all arrangements were made. The song-book for the year has been prepared and is now in the hands of the printers. It contains both words and music and the committee has been able to secure a large supply of these books for sale at the hall. The sale price, it is hoped, will assist in meeting the extra expense incurred by the engagement of the Town Hall, as neither the Strand nor any other suitable theatre is available. The new committee consists of Alessrs. V. T. Drew, chairman, Al. Guthrie, L. A. Eady, W. Metcalfe, R. L. Paterson, T. S. Bellamy, H. A. Corringham, W. Manning, N. Tucker, C. E. Clarke, A. Don, H. Stewart. M. Nola, H. J. Beavis, G. Grey Campbell and W. Woodhead, honorary »ecretary.
