MOTORISTS’ LOSSES
SEVERAL CARS STOLEN THREE RECOVERED BY POLICE One motor-car and two motor-cycles were reported stolen yesterday from city streets. Three motor-cars 'and two bicycles which had been taken during the week were recovered and returned to their A five-seater Chevrolet sedan, the property of Mr. W. M. Gimson, of Shortland Flats, was reported stolen from a garago in Shortland Street. It is a 1927 model, painted blue, with a yellow band ,and is fitted with Goodyear tyres. The registered number is 6799. A Douglas motor-cycle, the property of Mr. Trevor Ryman, of Hamilton, was taken from Churton Street, Parnell, between 8.15 and 9.15 o’clock last evening. It is a 1927 model and the registered number is believed to be 6303. The cycle is valued at £35. A 3 h.p. Norton motor-cycle was taken from Lower Queen, Street. Onehunga. It is the property of Mr. L. J. McNair, of Bloomfield Street, Bosom. The machine is valued at £35, has a shallow petrol tank, wide handles and grip control.
