DECISION AT GISBORNE Press Association GISBORNE, Friday. On the grounds that the Tolaga Bay Cottage Hospital is not providing adequate service for the amount expended, the Cook Hospital Board decided today to close the institution. This decision was reached after prolonged discussion on a telegram from the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, stating that he could not agree to the application to close he institution. One speaker said the Minister’s etion was inconsistent, as when in C sborne he had informed the board - at the decision lay with it, but now he stated that he did not agree with the closing of the institution.
