There was a growing conviction however, the Minister added, in tin minds of the public and of the madi eal profession, that the public ho,pi’ tals should be used to a greater extent as training institutions and for pojp graduate work and clinical experience by medical men.

Mr. W. E. C. George, of Huntly, that at the recent local bodies' con ference a resolution had been passer in favour of the nationalisation o’ hospitals. Mr. W. Lee Martin. M.P., said he would not hesitate to advocate the nationalisation of the health service,' throughout the country. He suggeatai that suitable candidates should h. trained for the medical services it the public expense, provided they g*,,, their services free for some yesp after qualifying.
