JOY GERM’S SUCCESS ATARERIA TAKES HURDLES (Special to THE SUN) HASTINGS, To-day. The second day of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was held to-day in fine weather before a large attendance. The course was in good order. Results: —- KA-RAMU HURDLES Of £130; 1§ miles. ,3—ATARERIA, 10.13 1 6 MANDARINE, 9.0 2 4-BRAEMAN, 10.3 3 Scr.: Gordon Swift. Won by three lengths, three lengths between second and third. Time, 3.15 3-5. Crishha, Mandarine and Atareria were in front most of the way in the Kara mu Hurdles. Atareria went away from the others over the last few furlongs, and won by three lengths from Mandarine, with Braeman another three lengths away third. Ballyfarnon was fourth. PAKIPAKI HANDICAP Of £130; 5 fur. JOY GERM, 7.4 , 1 INFLAME, 9.4 2 FLYING BINGE, 7.13 3 OUTSIDER WINS ASHBURTON TROTS Press Association ASHBURTON, To-day. For the Ashburton Trotting Club’s autumn meeting to-day the weather was overcast and cold. There is a large attendance and the course was in good order.
