FIRST CONCERT, MAY 2 The Bohemian Orchestra, which comprises 80 performers and is recognised us one of the finest orchestras in New Zealand, will inaugurate its 16th season with a concert at the Town Hall on Thursday, May 2. An excellent programme of varied and well-selected numbers will be presented, and music lovers are promised an excellent entertainment. Mr. Colin Muston, L.R.A.M.. is the ! conductor and Miss Edith Whitelaw, L.R.A.M., the leader. Subscription rates for the forthcoming season are advertised, and full particulars may -be obtained from the secretary. ! WEST COASTERS’ ASSOCIATION j A social evening under the auspieees of the newly-formed West Coasters’ Association will be held in St. Benedict’s Hall on Wednesday next. Bendall’s Orchestra will provide the music. MUNICIPAL BAND AT ZOO Three sweetly charming numbers from Humperdinck’s fairy play “The Miracle,” will played by the Municipal Band on Sunday afternoon at the Zoological Park. Other items in a fine programme are Sullivan’s “Di Ballo” overture, selections “Lohengrin” and “The Dollar Princess,” “Morgenblatter” waltz, Raff’s Cavatina, together with bright marches and hymn tunes.

There are four featured players in “Close Harmony,” Paramount's new* Rogers. -They are Nancy Ca-.-eil. .Jack Oakie, ‘iDkcets ’ Gallagher and Hurrv Green.
