PROFITABLE TOURISTS
£654 FOR RAILWAY TRIPS I - CRUISING CAR POPULAR (Special to TUB SUN) WELLINGTON, Frida*. The railway revenue benetitted considerably by the recent visit to New Zealand of Messrs. P. M. Chancellor and S. Norton, two American scientists. Before they departed they paid i the department £654 for the use I of the special cruising-car which | was recently put into service on the railways. Messrs. Chancellor and Norton toured both islands and were accompanied on the trip by Mr. V. S. Stanley, of th 6 commercial branch at Wellington. This special cruising car has been a great success since it was first put into service some months ago. It is beautifully appointed with dining-loung* . sleeping compartments, kitchen and hot and cold showers. Tourists who engage the car .*an have it attached to any train with which they wish to travel, and at night it can be shunted into any sid ing at any station, wherever they wish to stop. _____
